Authentik Shapes was born from a simple conviction: the stories of Black women — their struggles, their triumphs, their beauty, their power — deserve a platform as sophisticated and ambitious as the women themselves.
Too often, the Black woman's experience is reduced to a single narrative. Authentik Shapes refuses that reduction. We cover the businesswoman building her first startup in Abidjan and the Grammy-winning singer on a world tour. The grandmother preserving traditional recipes in Dakar and the Instagram activist reshaping conversations about body image in London. Every story. Every shape. Every shade.
We made a deliberate choice: to build a magazine where the visual identity is built on original illustrated artwork, not stock photography. Each illustration on Authentik Shapes is unique — a celebration of form, color, and the unique beauty of Black women, rendered in an artistic style that treats our subjects as the icons they are.
Authentik Shapes is published by uQooh-studio. Advertising is exclusively handled by CMI Media. We maintain a strict separation between commercial and editorial decisions.
